Each item is meticulously packaged to protect these delicate, museum-quality pieces during their journey to you.

Most items in stock are processed and dispatched within 2-3 business days of order confirmation and payment.

Custom & Made-to-Order Items

  • Handcrafted wands: 7-14 business days

  • Custom potions: 5-10 business days

  • Bespoke dragon skulls: 14-21 business days

  • Special commissions: Timeline discussed at order

Peak Seasons

During busy periods (Halloween, Christmas, special events), processing times may extend by 2-3 additional business days. We will notify you of any delays promptly.

  • Best for: Non-fragile items under £50

  • Delivery time: 2-3 business days

  • Tracking: Full tracking included

  • Best for: Urgent orders, gifts

Premium Secure Delivery (Royal Mail Special Delivery)

  • Cost: £12.95

  • Delivery time: 1-2 business days

  • Features: Fully tracked, insured, signature required

  • Best for: High-value items (£100+), fragile pieces

Free Shipping Threshold

We currently do not offer free shipping, however, this may change in the future for orders over £100.

Every item is carefully packaged using:

  • Bubble wrap/Honeycomb paper for delicate surfaces

  • Foam inserts for sculptures

  • Acid-free tissue paper for preservation

  • Sturdy cardboard boxes sized appropriately

  • Moisture-resistant sealing for certain items

Fragile Item Special Care

Items such as dragon skulls, fairy specimens, and glass potion bottles receive:

  • Extra cushioning

  • "FRAGILE" labels on all sides

  • Orientation indicators where necessary

  • Insurance coverage automatically included

Eco-Friendly Approach

We use recyclable and biodegradable packaging materials wherever possible, reflecting our commitment to preserving the natural world that inspires our magical creations.

Delivery Information

 
Address Requirements

Please ensure your delivery address is:

  • Complete and accurate (including postcode)

  • A location where someone can receive packages

  • Accessible to delivery vehicles

Delivery Attempts

If you're not available for delivery:

  • Royal Mail: Will leave a collection card

  • Special Delivery: Requires signature, will attempt redelivery

  • Items will be held at local sorting office for 18 days

  • If your order is returned to us, we will be happy to post it again, however, shipping costs will be required.

Safe Place Delivery

You may request safe place delivery during checkout. Please note that Old World Magic cannot be responsible for items left in safe places, though packages remain insured until delivery confirmation.

Tracking Information

  • Tracking details sent via email within 24 hours of dispatch

  • Track your package at royalmail.com or via Royal Mail app

  • Updates provided for all delivery milestones

Delivery Notifications

You will receive:

  • Order confirmation email immediately

  • Dispatch notification with tracking within 24 hours

  • Delivery confirmation once package is received

Delivery Issues

 
Damaged Packages

If your package arrives damaged:

  1. Do not refuse the delivery

  2. Accept the package and note damage on delivery receipt

  3. Contact us within 48 hours with photos

  4. We will arrange replacement or refund immediately

Lost Packages

In the rare event of a lost package:

  • Report to us within 7 days of expected delivery

  • We will initiate a trace with Royal Mail

  • Replacement or full refund provided once claim is resolved

​

Wrong Address Deliveries

If you provided an incorrect address:

  • We will attempt to contact Royal Mail to re-route the package, however, additional shipping charges apply for re-routing

  • We cannot guarantee successful redelivery

  • Please double-check addresses during checkout

​

Undeliverable Packages

 
Return to Sender

Packages returned due to:

  • Incorrect address provided by customer

  • Refused delivery

  • Uncollected after 18 days

Will incur:

  • Original shipping costs (non-refundable)

  • Return shipping costs (£6.95)

  • 15% restocking fee for opened/damaged returns​​
