Werewolf Fangs & Silver Bullet
Prof. Abraham Van Helsing, England, 1896
Unnatural History Collection
Step into the private cabinet of a Victorian monster hunter with this extraordinary framed specimen set. Two preserved werewolf fangs and a silver bullet, presented exactly as they were documented by the hand of Professor Abraham Van Helsing himself, England, 1896.
Part of the exclusive Unnatural History Collection, this piece brings one of Britain's most feared creatures of legend into striking, unsettling physical form.
The fangs were sculpted in 3D by Joshua Dunlop, acclaimed creature concept artist whose portfolio includes work for Disney, Netflix, and the Natural History Museum. They present the preserved dentition of a suspected lycanthropic entity, reportedly collected in Wrexham, Wales, 1798, following a series of deeply unsettling rural accounts. Unlike the refined, needle-like structure of vampiric species, these fangs are broader, heavier, and visibly built for tearing rather than piercing. The thickened root and worn enamel suggest immense bite force, consistent with historical descriptions of werewolves said to stalk livestock and woodland paths beneath the full moon.
Beside the fangs rests the 'silver bullet', the huntsman's answer to the beast. Wrapped in aged leather, it carries all the quiet menace of a weapon made with grim purpose. That Van Helsing chose to preserve it alongside the fangs rather than use it speaks volumes. Perhaps the creature was taken by other means. Perhaps it was not taken at all.
The hand-written provenance card reads simply:
Werewolf Fangs & Silver Bullet, Prof. Abraham Van Helsing, England, 1896
All three artefacts are mounted with museum precision within a solid wood box frame, resting upon a deep crimson velvet backdrop behind clear perspex. The presentation evokes the quiet authority of a late Victorian natural history display, where folklore, fear, and early scientific curiosity pressed uncomfortably close together.
Each fang has been meticulously sculpted, textured, and hand-painted to capture aged enamel, weathered root, and subtle organic imperfection, as though carefully extracted, documented, and sealed away as evidence of an encounter best not spoken of in daylight.
