The Aureate Reliquary
Crafted from richly toned hardwood and finished by the hand of master wandmaker Ralph Dunlop, The Aureate Reliquary carries the quiet authority of sacred tradition. Measuring approximately 43cm, its form is structured, deliberate, and unmistakably ceremonial in presence.
The shaft is shaped in graduated baluster segments, giving the wand a rhythm reminiscent of antique architectural columns. Subtle variations in the wood grain create depth and warmth, while the spiral detailing along the lower half suggests disciplined channeling of power rather than wild casting.
At its centre rests a geometric golden setting inset with a raised circular emblem, a focal point that draws the eye and anchors the piece in symbolic symmetry. This central adornment feels like a seal of office, as though the wand itself were bestowed rather than chosen.
The crown rises into an ornate finial adorned with intricate metallic floral motifs and antique gold accents. The detailing evokes sacred relic housings and old world craftsmanship, giving the wand an almost ecclesiastical gravitas. It feels less like a tool and more like a sacred instrument reserved for formal rites.
Tradition holds that such wands were carried by High Arcanists who specialised in invocation, sanctified circles, and the binding of higher forces. Hardwood of this depth and tone has long been associated with endurance, stability, and unwavering intent. It is said to strengthen structured spellwork and amplify incantations spoken with clarity and conviction.
This piece favours practitioners drawn to ritual, ceremony, and deliberate magic. It does not whisper. It declares.

Each wand is hand crafted by our father, Ralph Dunlop.
Now retired, he lives up in the hills of Dartmoor with his wife Pippa in their cozy cottage, overlooking the Teign Valley.
Gathering wood from his private forest, he painstakingly sands, carves and varnishes each wand by hand. Finally, he combines them with antique metals and decorations, forging them into beautiful, completely unique, works of art.
(and we couldn’t be more proud.)
